Hi guys!
Our internet as been in and out for the past few days, that's why i haven't been able to post; thanks for understanding! For this post i am going to go over just a few problems that most quizzers run into, at some point in their quizzing journey.
Some of these are harder to deal with than others, but all of them can hinder us from really doing our best, and keeping the fire of motivation alive and well for quizzing, for God, and for learning His word. I know i say this very often, but i don't think that it can be said enough. Remember the purpose of quizzing in the first place. If you're experiencing any of these problems right now, then first, you need to take a step back and take a deep breath. Okay, got that? Good. Now, depending on if the problem is just with your own emotions, or if it is with someone else, you will need to handle it very differently. Pray, and meditate, and if it helps, write out your problems of paper. This helps to get it all out, and not packed up inside of you. Also, get into perspective. Not being in perspective can be miserable sometimes, and it's just always good to have the end in mind, and to think about things outside of you, and quizzing, and your friends, and family and anything else that might be bothering you. It might seem a little harsh, but you will feel so much better when everything is shrunk down to their own appropriate proportions. Keep your mind stayed on God :-) Thanks for reading. Keep calm and quiz on (and out) -Your fellow quizzer

Hi everyone!
I know jumping of the seats, and hearing your name being called, and seeing the contempt on everyone else's faces because you beat them it a whole lot of fun, i love it! But, for this moment of triumph not to turn into one of embarrassment, we need to be prepared to answer the question correctly, right? Because you might think that being the first to error out of the round might be cool, but you could do better, and God knows it. You're a really smart person! So, if you're willing, read on as i list some tips that I've gathered, to help you study faster, more effectively, and how to get motivated to put some time into studying. So, here you go!
Well, that's just a few, but try to come up with some ways yourself, i know you can do it! But, as always, the most important thing to remember is why you're doing quizzing. Ask yourself that question right now, and answer truthfully. Is it because it makes you feel smart? Is it because your parents want you to do it? Is it because you're just bored with your life and wanted to find a hobby? Well whatever the answer might have been, remember what you're studying-or getting motivated to study. It's the word of the Lord. I'm really not trying to guilt trip anyone, i just want you to have the most motivation you can to get into God's word as much as you possibly can. It's a very, very healthy habit. Thanks for reading. Keep calm and quiz on (and out) -Your fellow quizzer Hi all!
After you have been quizzing for a while, you find that there's some ways to study that you enjoy, and some ways to study that leave you frustrated and fed up with all of the confusion of Acts. So, to keep the frustration and negative attitudes at a minimal, I've put together a list of my favorite ways to study. note: you might just like a way to study because it's easier. this is not the kind of disliking and liking that i'm talking about. I'm talking about the way you learn, and what helps your brain stimulation. Feel free to try all of my favorite ways to study of course, but i would encourage you to do some research in your free time and figure out how you learn (visual, audio, etc.) and focus on that. You will find that it will be more effective than studying in the way that you don't learn. But the more ways that your brain is engaged it it, the more likely you'll be able to remember it in a quiz, so remember that. Here they are;
I hope that helps you, and inspires you to study more, and ultimately get into God's word more often. Because that is the whole point behind quizzing. Don't just read it, or even memorize it; live it. It's good that we're having fun while learning the word like in quizzing-God is happy when we're happy-but don't lose your focus on the big picture. Take what you learn in quizzing, and use it to do some good in the world. I know that there's no deep theology or anything in Acts-like there was last year in Romans and James- that you can clearly see, i mean, it's a story. But you can still use it. You just have to wait and see. Good luck finding your way to learn! Keep calm and quiz on (and out) -Your fellow quizzer Hi Guys! I hope your studying is going well, and that you're having fun doing it! I mentioned in a previous post that you should try to keep a studying graph of the amount of time you give to hard studying, so i thought i'd make it just a little bit easier for you, and pulled together an impromptu graph that you can personalize yourself, with markers or stickers to make it more appealing, fill out, and get the results out of. Since it is only 15 days, you'll need to print out two to make a whole month of data. This is also a fun thing to have in your study binder, (as was mentioned in the previous post). More cool accessories for quizzing and studying coming up soon! Try to come up with your own, it's a ton of fun! Just remember though, above all else; the center and point of all of this is to get into God's word, and to learn more about Him and what happened in the history of the ministry. We can learn a lot of things from Acts, if we take it farther than quizzing. Thanks for reading. And tell me how the graph system works out for you! (UPDATE: To print graph, right click picture, and select 'save image as" and then save it into where ever you would like it on your computer, and then from your computer, print it. Some of you have said that the words-except for the title-go missing when you go to print it, but the rest of the graph-the important part- is still in place. i'm really really sorry for this inconvenience. You can re-write it afterwards if you would like, and this also gives you the ability to chose what times are on the horizontal lines. Again, i'm so sorry for the trouble, and thank you for your patience.) Keep calm and quiz on (and out) -Your fellow quizzer Hi guys! i know that I've mentioned before that i'm an organized person, so i'm not gonna say it again, but this post is about keeping your quiz stuff organized so that you can use it in the most effective way possible. Now, for me the binder form works well, but feel free to try different kinds. Here's what i keep in my binder;
But, here is just the necessities to have in your binder;
But basically anything that helps you study (or anything special, related to quizzing, if you're a sentimental person.), belongs in that binder. Being organized is a very important part of studying, in quizzing. Because you can't get information mixed up, and still be right. It's a very confusing process, when you don't have all of the information in the right area in the first place-speaking from experience. And, like anything, no one wants their stuff scattered across the house; it's frustrating when you're actually really motivated to study. Also, you could make maps of a certain person's travels and put them in there (or your could do one map, with multiple people-purple=Peter, and yellow=Barnabas or something like that), as a visual aid. Also, it's probably a good idea to keep a list of the ways to study that you really like, just in case you want to get motivated to so some, but don't know what to do. In any case, if you're bored, just go grab your study binder-i'm sure you'll find something to do :-) So, i hope this helps you get more organized, and helps your studying get more effective. Thanks for reading. Keep calm and quiz on (and out) -Your fellow quizzer P.S. Here's a fun little pole for you :-) |
