Hey y'all! One of my favorites, right here ;). Sorry it's a little farther away than the other ones; I used a new camera, and unfortunately I didn't realize the drastic difference in view. It'll be back to normal in TBQJ Vlog #10 :).
Love you guys! Keep calm and quiz on (and out)! Your fellow quizzer, Mallory

Hey guys! So... I've got something I have to tell you. I'm going to take a few weeks off from The Bible Quizzing Journey. *gasp* Yeah :P. I'm not going to be posting the regular Monday blog posts, sending out Newsletters, or publishing Vlogs for the next three or four weeks (except for the one scheduled for this Saturday, which you can still look forward to on schedule, at 1:00 PM Mountain Time; Vlog #9). So, why am I taking a short break? Let me explain... I had a little sit down with my friend Jesus the other night, and He had me write out a list of priorities for myself. I started out by brainstorming about ten things that I would later put in order of importance in the next column. After I had done both of these things, I compared the two lists. The things that I had brainstormed first - the things that were most prominent on my mind - were the things that should have been number 7-10, rather than 1-4. It was (admittedly) a little bit of an "ah-ha!" moment, because I had finally found the stick in the mechanisms - I had found one of the reasons why I had been getting a little frustrated recently. So I proceeded to examine my calendar, and for a split second, I wondered what it would be like if I stopped doing The Bible Quizzing Journey. And (this was probably just because I was overwhelmed by the state of my calendar) it felt relieving, to some extent. I'm being perfectly honest with you guys; it surprised me that the thought was relieving, because I love what I do. I love getting to share what I've learned, and my experiences, and what I'm still learning. I realized that something was majorly off. TBQJ, as much as I love it, had subconsciously become an obligatory task - something that I just had to get done, because I didn't want to let you guys, my Quiz-Journeyers, down. I started putting huge pieces of my heart and time into TBQJ because of love for you guys, and out of love for sharing, mentoring, and building up myself and other people. This love had been forgotten, at least by my prominent thoughts. That broke my heart! I don't want to give you guys any content that doesn't come from a place of love. God forbid it. All the reasons that I do what I do, has to come from that place, if it's worth anything at all. So I owe you all an apology, actually. I'm sorry for not putting my relationship with God, and my personal health before TBQJ, and therefore not being able to share with you His love, like I set out to. So during this break, I will be refreshing my love and commitment to TBQJ; reviewing all of the wonderful reasons why I do it. I am talking to a few people right now, about possibly writing some quest posts for you guys while I'm gone - no promises, but it is a possibility ;). These are my hopes for this little break:
So yeah. This break isn't just because I'm getting tired of creating content. I want to make sure that whatever I'm doing, that I'm doing it correctly (in of itself, and in its relation to everything else that God's put in my life). I seriously love you guys so much! I'm going to miss talking to you for the next few weeks, but I am going to push through it because I believe that this is what is necessary for my overall health and for the long-term health of TBQJ.
I'm looking forward to seeing you guys when TBQJ Vlog #9 comes out this Saturday, and hopefully, you guys will be able to read some guest posts between now and the end of the break. Y'all are awesome - simple as that. God has an extraordinary amount of love for you, and you have got an amazing future to look forward to. But until then, keep quizzing and living victoriously, because it is your right as a child of the King of the universe. Walk in victory this week! Keep calm and quiz on (and out)!
