...what was that? Still not convinced? Here, I've got something super awesome for you..... (scroll down a little bit)
Here's an excerpt from one of our regular Newsletters(!):
"
I want to share with you something that has been the foundation for a really awesome attitude (a way of seeing things) regarding the Spiritual war that we are all a part of.
It's having an attitude of, "I am the storm".
It's inspired by a quote, that goes like this... "The devil yelled at me, 'you can't withstand the storm!', but I smiled and whispered, 'I am the storm.'"
So you see, God made us victorious - And I know I say that a lot, so let me expand on it a little bit.
In the New Testament, in a couple different places, it says that we are created higher than the angels - and that we're even going to judge them (1 Corinthians 6). That means, that as human beings, we are literally designed as a higher race than the devil.
Satan was never God's child, no matter what he could do. He was the worship leader, actually (Ezekiel & Isaiah), but that wasn't enough. He aspired to become God, because his great pride wouldn't accept anything less.
That's pretty crazy, huh?
So just by logic, it is easy to see that we would be able to claim victory over him, especially with God backing us and showing us how. God teaches us about his tactics, his weakness, and our strength! How could we lose?
But just because we have the ability to claim victory, doesn't mean that we have nothing to do. If we did, why would Paul tell us to put on the armor of God, or to train so that we can "run in such a way as to win the prize"?
We still have to claim that victory for ourselves. We still have to plant our flag on the battlefield.
In order to plant that flag, we must defeat the things that oppose us or stand in our way: discouragement, depression, lack, insecurity, hate, lies, illness, etc..
When you come across those things, look the Devil in the eyes (don't run in the other direction, FACE IT straight on), and say, with as much power and confidence as Christ has (since He is in you)...
"I. Am. The. Storm."
And unleash all of the power of God and Heaven down on him - demolish him, and make him sorry that he ever tried to overtake or defeat God's child.
Ladies, you are God's great, strong, powerful maidens of war, created for beautiful fellowship, and equipped with the power to move mountains and break down strongholds, and obliterate evil.
Gentlemen, you are God's valorous knights and warriors, whom He gave His love and grace and power, so that you would have the ability to calm oceans, walk on seas, and bring total destruction to the powers of hell.
Don't forget who you are. You're the one God loves the very most. You're His kid, and He loves to spend time with you, and just talk.
He has given you victory, so all you need to do is claim what is already yours.
(In the next issue, I'll be sharing with you a vision that God gave me about Him giving me His pure, white shirt, and took my place - so stay tuned!)
